Sacramento native Dawn Silva has contributed to some legendary 1970s music pioneers: Sly and The Family Stone and George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic. The funk vocalist also has her autobiography, “The Funk Queen,” currently out. Silva sat down with ABC10 to talk about her book, her musical career, her brief stint in the Black Panthers, and some Sacramento history.
